The core of my work is a heart-centered and creative approach, in which I allow each session or group to take shape according to the needs arising in the moment. Practicing from a non-judgmental and loving place, I create a safe and healing space for and with my clients.
I started my studies in Psychology at Tulane University and completed my Master in Contemplative Psychotherapy at Naropa University (with a 12-year stint in Graphic Design in between). I see both design and psychotherapy as creative and artistic expressions and I weave these experiences together in my work.
Over the years, I have led groups for self-care, art expression, teen empowerment, body image (both adults and teens), various skills-based psychoeducational groups, and experiential and process oriented groups.
My training includes Synergetic Play Therapy, the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT), Psychodrama, Containment and Resolution (CAR) model of trauma therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Contemplative Psychotherapy.
